Who we are. This site is operated by Rendez House LLC, a limited liability company in Illinois ("Rendez," "we," "us"). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't order.
What we sell. Rendez sells a quarterly box of food made by small European producers. The Summer's End Box is sold as a pre-order. You pay in full when you order, and your box ships on or around September 3, 2026, to arrive over Labor Day weekend. Ordering a pre-order means you understand the box ships in the future, not right away.
Prices and payment. Prices are in US dollars. We charge the full amount when you place your order, not when the box ships. Sales tax is added where required, and shipping is calculated at checkout and charged at cost. We may correct any pricing error and cancel an affected order for a full refund, even after you have ordered, if a price was listed wrong by mistake.
Cancellations and refunds. How cancellations, refunds, delays, and damaged or missing items are handled is set out in full on our Return and Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.
The food. Everything in the box reaches you sealed, in the producer's own packaging. We do not cook, open, repackage, relabel, or alter anything. The producer's label governs ingredients, allergens, storage, and use-by dates. Please read each label.
Shipping and delivery. We ship from Chicago. Once a box is handed to the carrier, delivery timing is in the carrier's hands. If a box is lost or damaged in transit, we will make it right under our Return and Refund Policy.
Your information. You agree to give accurate shipping and contact details. We are not responsible for a box that goes to a wrong address you entered. How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
What belongs to Rendez. The Rendez name and wordmark, the Almanac, and the writing, photography, and design on this site and in the box are owned by Rendez House LLC. The Almanac in particular is an original numbered work. You are welcome to enjoy it, cook from it, and share a photo of it. You may not reproduce, resell, or republish it or any of our content as your own.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Rendez House LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or the products, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law.
No warranties beyond the law. The site and the products are provided as they are, except for any warranty that applies by law and cannot be waived. We make no health or medical claims about any item in the box.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
Changes. We may update these terms. The version posted here, with its date, is the one that applies to your order.
