How Rendez handles the food. Rendez sells food made by small European producers and shipped to you in its original sealed packaging. We do not cook, open, repackage, relabel, or alter anything in the box. Every item reaches you exactly as it left the producer, in the producer's own packaging. The producer's own label is the authority on that item. Ingredients, allergens, storage, and use-by dates are printed on each package by the people who made it. Please read each label and follow the guidance there. If a label is in another language and you need help reading it, email michela@rendezhouse.com and we will translate it for you.

Allergens. The box may contain common allergens, including wheat and gluten, tree nuts, and items made in facilities that also handle milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, soy, nuts, and sesame. Because these foods are made in small European facilities we do not own or operate, we cannot guarantee any item is free of a given allergen or free from cross-contact with one. If you or someone in your home has a food allergy or intolerance, read the producer's label on each item before eating it. If you need to know whether a specific item is right for a specific allergy, email us before you order.

Storage and freshness. Each item carries its own storage and best-by guidance on the producer's label. Follow what the label says. The box is built around shelf-stable staples, so most of it keeps well, but the label is always the final word.

No health claims. Rendez talks about flavor, origin, and the people who make this food. We do not make medical or health claims about any item, and nothing in the box or the Almanac is intended as dietary or medical advice.
